Tavernlight

Tavernlight is a narrative focused tavern management game where the player takes on the role of the new innkeeper for an old tavern in the middle of a dark, spooky woods. Throughout the game the player will split their time between managing the tavern, making friends with a small cast of characters, and exploring the depths of the woods after dark.

Tavernlight has been a passion project that Patrick and his partner Marlena Abraham have been working on for the past few years in their spare time. It has been an excellent way to stay up-to-date on the best development practices for Maya and Unity while working towards something meaningful.

Contributions:

  • Designing & Developing the dialog system, inventory system, and tavern management game-loop.

  • Managing the character pipeline & features. (Emotes, headlook, chase logic, and navigation AI.)

  • Assisting with 3D Modeling, Rigging and Texturing when necessary.

  • Assisting with pretty much anything else as the need arises.
